Underdog 3-Man NFL Best Ball Rankings
With so many options of formats to play on at Underdog Fantasy I wanted to give a quick rundown of how the 3-man Drafts work and share my rankings that I have been using for this format. Underdog offers 3-man leagues for $3, $25, and $100 (slow/fast for $100). The object is to finish 1st place out of the 3 and you collect all the money (minus 10.0-11.1% rake).
The rankings for 3-mans are going to look much different as there is a premium on the one-off positions of Quarterback and especially Tight End. The goal really is to see if you can get two of the top three tight ends in Kelce, Kittle, or Waller and just build a solid constructed lineup around that. I have been finding that the Running Back position is deep in these as you can really only go 20 players deep at the position as you are only drafting against two other opponents. I feel the best and safest build for these 3-mans are going with:
3 Quarterbacks -
6 Running Backs
7 Wide Receivers
2 Tight Ends
With that in mind the math comes out to having to really just rank Top 10 QBs (assuming each draft 3), 25 RBs (Assuming 6-8 drafted each), 30 WRs (7-9 drafted by each team), and 10 TEs (Average of 3 each). That gives us a total of 75 players we want in our draft pool just to be safe. Over the last four days I have drafted over a 100 of these $3 3-man teams to get a better feel for them and to see what I like at the end of drafts. Based on my observations, the following Top 75 Rankings will put you in a great winning spot if you follow the rankings and stick to a 3/6/7/2 build going Tight End heavy to start out.
